Side A
Music has long been a significant creative influence, inspiring a series of design-led projects centred around nostalgia, storytelling and visual culture. Drawing inspiration from the iconic album artwork of Blue Note Records, the projects explored the relationship between music and graphic design through bespoke cover concepts created using original 1960s photography of my parents. The work also extended into vintage-inspired vinyl and cassette designs that celebrated my personal family history and cultural memory through tactile formats, typography and forgotten photography. Together, these projects examined the emotional connection between music, memory and visual identity, using stripped-back design and carefully curated visual references to create a strong sense of atmosphere and narrative.
