Lockdown

Inspired by the iconic graphic language of Saul Bass, this poster series was created during lockdown while the cinema industry was temporarily closed. Using bold typography, minimalist composition and cinematic symbolism, the work drew on the visual heritage of classic film poster design while responding to the uncertainty surrounding cinemas at the time. The series explored how stripped-back graphic design and strong visual storytelling could communicate the atmosphere of an industry placed on pause, capturing both the emotional impact of closed cinemas and the enduring cultural significance of the cinematic experience.
